In this work, cellist, composer, and improviser Luca Panicciari demonstrates the cello's extraordinary versatility—and its profound creativity—entering into a fruitful dialogue with an extremely broad musical tradition. The album clearly demonstrates how much the cello still has to say to contemporary life.

Gli Archimedi (2015 - 2023)
From 2015 to 2023, I shared an intense artistic and recording chapter as the cellist of the string trio Gli Archimedi. With this chamber ensemble – dedicated to the utopia of improvisation and the fusion of classical, jazz, and world music – I recorded two studio albums, leading the cello to explore unconventional sounds and to converse beyond the boundaries of individual genres.

Forvojagi (2018) | New Model Label

The debut album with the trio. A true 'journey' through music (from the Esperanto term) that ranges from ancient repertoire to rock 'n' roll. In this record, the cello breaks away from its traditional patterns to transform itself, echoing the nuances of a Greek bouzouki, an Armenian duduk, or a gypsy jazz guitar.
