Different Roots

 

Different Roots is a project of musical branching in which the cello, almost like a living organism, absorbs new influences from outside the classical world. Through the primordial essence of its sound, the cello explores diverse sonic terrain, fostering the birth of an entirely new concert repertoire. We find music ranging from folk to jazz, alongside compositions from the ancient and modern worlds, some of which are supported by the essential practice of improvisation and instrumental scordatura. This creates an original and hyperbolic journey in constant evolution, where the souls of musical genres distant from each other in time and space meet and merge in a renewed balance.
